Most of the urban people in Bangalore would like to travel outside the city to have some fun and entertainment during the week ends. Bannerghatta National Park
Bannerghatta National Park is one of the most popular destinations for one day trips from Bangalore. This park is located within 30 minutes to 1 hour drive from most parts of Bangalore city. Some of the main attractions in the park include picnic area, wild life safari, zoo etc. During the weekends, this place me crowded. If you have an option to go on a weekday, it would be ideal.
The admission fees is very reasonable and is worth the money.
Grand Safari - general admission for adults: Rs 160
Grand Safari - children: Rs 85
This Safari price include Zoo admission.
Zoo admission fees: Adults: Rs 45, Children: Rs 25, Senior Citizen: Rs 30
There is an additional Rs 10 parking fees as well.
If you are going for the Safari (which I recommend if you love to see wild animals very close), try to reach there early morning and complete it before the crowd arrives later on the day. On crowded days, it may take up to 2 hours in the queue to get to the safari.
After the safari, you can visit the Zoo and then have your time in the park. If there are kids in your group, they are going to have lot of fun in the park which will make the one day trip worth the time and money.
